Our grandmothers had none of the marvels of the 21st century at hand, no AHA acids, no lasers, no plastic surgery, no botulinum injections and the like. Cleavers oil and lime blossom oil
Cleavers oil — this strong macerate is used to firm the skin and smooth away fine lines; with regular use it also helps to keep them from forming, and it works overall against tired, wilting skin. It is a gentle friend in the care of skin complaints too. Lime blossom oil — this strong macerate creates a protective barrier on the skin and shows wonderful regenerating effects, keeps the water and oil balance, calms irritation right away and, what is more, gives the skin a golden glow
What are oil macerates?
Oil macerates have been prepared since time immemorial, and our grandmothers knew them well. The energy and the gentle properties steeped into the oil can be enjoyed all season long, bringing beautiful skin and lovely care for the whole body, for the complexion, for the mood and for our energy. Herbal macerates smell wonderful. A macerated oil is a product created by steeping (macerating) dried or fresh herbs in a carrier oil. During maceration the beneficial properties of the herbs are drawn out into the carrier oil. The carrier oil in our fantastic macerates (cleavers, lime blossom) is organic sunflower oil.
Sunflower oil and its effects on the skin
This is a natural oil from organically controlled agriculture; it contains a high amount of vitamin E and fatty acids (Omega 6). Besides that it has anti-inflammatory effects and protects the skin from free radicals.
The effects of sunflower oil:
Hydration: It contains a wealth of important substances and fatty acids that help the skin to hold its hydration, which is key to slowing the signs of ageing and the forming of fine lines. Protection from free radicals: It contains vitamin E, which shields the skin from outer influences such as UV radiation, the weather, pollution and so on.
