Why is shea butter such a lovely thing to use?
When it comes to body care, most ladies know body lotions best.. Have you ever heard of, or tried, shea butter? Shea butter is one truly exceptional product, and not only for ladies. Gentlemen and children can use it too. Let's get to know it a little.
Shea butter is said to be a source of healthy, beautiful skin. Are you wondering why shea butter is such a lovely thing to use? Because shea butter is known all over the world today. Many people trust its effects and love using it in their everyday body and hair care. It is a special plant butter made from the nuts of the African shea tree (its botanical name is Vitellaria paradoxa). This tree can also be found under the name karité. It grows mainly in the region of Central Africa, in the savannah areas across the territories of several countries. The tree grows to a height of 9 – 12 metres, and the good-quality fruits from which the butter is obtained appear only 20 – 50 years after planting. The region in which the shea tree grows even has a special name – the "shea belt". The butter is made from nuts gathered by African women from the surrounding villages, which speaks to its authenticity. The craft of obtaining the butter itself is passed down in the tribes from generation to generation. Producing it truly takes a great many shea nuts. On the other hand, it has wonderfully positive effects on our body. The greatest share in this belongs to omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Shea butter even contains some vitamins, namely vitamins A, D, E and F. Vitamins A and E are traditionally valued for helping to protect the skin from the signs of ageing. What is especially interesting, though, is the presence of vitamin F, which can revitalise tired skin cells and is good for the hair too. Shea butter contains no chemical irritants known to dry the skin out, and it does not clog the pores. It suits almost any skin type.

You are sure to appreciate using shea butter. During the summer, shea butter is the first choice whenever the skin needs a little extra care. Thanks to its high hydrating ability it soothes sun-kissed skin and helps it renew itself with the support of vitamins. And it is a wonderful companion beyond the summer too. Many of us, while caring for our face and body, forget the skin on our hands. So do try applying shea butter to your hands at night, and you will see how hydrated and soft the skin becomes - another lovely way to bring youthfulness back to your hands with regular use, and shea butter is made for exactly that. Alongside protection and care, its lovely qualities include soothing the skin. Whether after shaving, or when the skin simply feels upset.

Mariškin balzam
In summer you will appreciate another quality of shea butter: it helps your tan stay beautiful for longer, helps prevent stretch marks and, over time, helps soften those that are already there. And for this we have Mariškin balzam for you. The exceptional qualities of shea butter go hand in hand here with hemp oil, which is considered one of the most effective and most powerful natural oils there is. It has a high content of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, which makes its effects quite remarkable. It moisturises the skin, supports cell renewal and helps care for the skin as it ages, and rosemary extract has properties traditionally valued for their cleansing action against bacteria, fungi and viruses on the skin, which makes it a lovely choice for smaller grazes and burns, or for skin that is troubled by dermatitis, acne, eczema or psoriasis. The oil helps stimulate cell renewal and supports the skin's natural healing - alongside this it moisturises the skin and supports its circulation. Truly worth trying.

You can use shea butter in your hair care too. It may sound almost unbelievable, but karité butter effectively hydrates a dry mane and protects it from free radicals. At the same time it soothes an irritated, dry scalp and knows what to do with split ends or brittle hair. Apply shea butter to the hair as a leave-in conditioner. Warm a pea-sized amount of karité butter between your hands and comb it thoroughly through the ends of your washed hair with your fingers. Or use a leave-in cream care for dry and damaged hair.
So, what do you say? Which one will you choose?
