Tribulus tincture – is it worth using?

Tribulus terrestris is a small wonder for many. Those who use tribulus regularly know that it is worth reaching for. In folk herbalism it has long been known as the green viagra, and many present-day doctors recommend it for its other lovely and time-tested qualities as well. It is not only about the qualities of the green viagra, though – Tribulus terrestris is traditionally seen as a harmoniser of the hormonal system as a whole and in this way it is said to support overall wellbeing.

  • Tribulus terrestris (Tribulus Terrestris) is an annual creeping plant that originally grew  on the coasts of China and Japan, but then spread to us in Europe as well as to Africa and Australia. It is grown deliberately for its traditional herbal qualities, and today we will say a little about them. We will begin with the loveliest of them, and that is a rise in libido in both sexes, which makes it a wonderful natural aphrodisiac. This herb is also traditionally used with concerns around erection and is said to have a positive influence on the motility of sperm. What matters, though, is regularity, and after a month you should feel a change for the better. Many studies have shown that it is associated with sexual performance, that it naturally supports testosterone in men and in this way it is said to help not only with sexual performance, but it can also be  useful for athletes. If you exercise and would like to support your testosterone level, reach for the natural alternative in the form of a tincture, which is a very effective option  and you will not regret it. Its effects may perhaps come on a little more slowly than targeted chemical forms of testosterone, but for your body it is certainly a more natural and gentler way. In women, in turn, taking this herb is traditionally said to support the level of oestrogen and the ripening of the eggs. So if you, dear couples, are hoping for a little one, this may be a good support for you.
  • Tribulus terrestris is again a wonderful choice with concerns around elimination. It is traditionally said to have a favourable influence on the prostate and to be diuretic, thanks to which the urinary tract is cleansed and comes back into condition. Very good experiences have been recorded with incontinence.
  • Tribulus terrestris is also traditionally said to  cleanse the whole body and to be helpful with weight loss. When we look at it this way, tribulus is said to bring many processes in the body into balance, to free us of toxins, bacteria  and inflammation. It is even a wonderful companion during weight loss and helps us get into shape.

Would you like to support your metabolism, especially the metabolism of digestion? Tribulus is traditionally reached for with this too. In older people it is traditionally used with raised cholesterol and it is also said to be a lovely helper with constipation.

As we already mentioned above, it is much sought after among athletes for the way it is said to support testosterone, and it is a lovely helper in building muscle mass and improving its condition. It is not a gift for athletes only, though, because in older people who lose the firmness and quality of their muscles with the years it can be helpful too.

A tincture of Tribulus terrestris is truly worth taking, because besides the qualities mentioned above it is traditionally said to slow the signs of ageing, to lift the mood, to ease tension and irritability, to raise vitality and to be a source of life energy, and it is even said to have a favourable influence on the work of the thyroid gland.

What is hidden inside tribulus? It is a truly wonderful source of vitamins C, B and E. Then magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, calcium, tannins, proteins, bioflavonoids and many other valuable substances. A very significant ingredient in this herb, and one worth our attention, is Diosgenin. It is a natural substance with a very wide range of favourable qualities, which is why it has long  been the focus of researchers' attention.

I would also like to draw your attention to Ruscogenin, which is traditionally said to support the flow of blood throughout the whole body including the peripheries, contributing to better circulation in the whole body.

And at the end one more little trump card when it comes to Tribulus. Not only is it traditionally said to harmonise the whole body, it is even said to help with acne and irritations of the skin. Tribulus is traditionally valued for its soothing qualities and is said to ease these signs and even to firm the skin.

So what are you waiting for? Such a wonderful helper  for us all as Tribulus terrestris is something we should all have at home, and it is never a shame to draw on the strength of this remarkable herb, whether something is on our mind or simply as a gentle prevention.
