Do you know rosehip oil? It is a gift from nature that offers our skin a whole range of benefits. From prevention and moisture all the way to gentle repair. This oil, obtained from rosehip seeds by cold pressing, has no scent and a beautiful amber colour. It is wonderfully kind to the skin, because it has rejuvenating, caring, soothing and regenerating effects.
Rosehip oil and what is in it

Many women are hesitant about using plant oils on the face and body. Are you also afraid that after rosehip oil your skin will be greasy and your pores blocked? There is no need. Rosehip oil is often described as a dry oil. That is because it sinks into the skin in moments and leaves no greasy film behind. It travels into the deeper layers of the skin, where it works thanks to its rich composition. Rosehip oil contains the polyunsaturated omega 6 linoleic acid, the omega 3 linolenic acid, saturated stearic acid 10% and palmitic acid 11%. It also contains provitamin A - beta-carotene, vitamin E, phenols and lycopene.
Rosehip oil for slowing down the ageing of the skin
Rosehip oil is therefore wonderful for renewing the skin and it also helps to slow down its ageing. Besides the essential fatty acids, this is thanks to its high content of vitamin C — rosehip oil is one of the richest plant sources of this vitamin and so it helps the complexion to glow. It is equally good at reducing the appearance of hyperpigmentation, so rosehip oil works beautifully on pigment spots. Vitamin A, which rosehip oil contains, is also needed for the renewal of cells and helps the natural increase of collagen and elastin in the tissues. Research shows that after only eight weeks rosehip oil leads to a marked improvement in fine lines and in the elasticity of the skin.
Dry rosehip oil for dry skin

Thanks to its "dry" texture, this oil absorbs perfectly into every skin type. Yet it can work true wonders with dry, dehydrated and lined skin. The antioxidant activity of rosehip oil protects and repairs UV damage and helps to soften fine lines. In addition, carotenoids, which are compounds similar to vitamin A, regulate the renewal of the skin and lead to a more even complexion. What is more, the oil effectively reduces hyperpigmentation (dark spots on the skin) and brightens the complexion.
Rosehip oil for acne
According to experts, acne can be a sign of undernourished skin. Rosehip oil contains powerful nutrients that strengthen the skin with essential nourishment and improve its health. Undernourished skin also tends to release excess oil, which can lead to acne. Rosehip oil helps to prevent this. It also helps to keep the pores clear (rosehip oil is non-comedogenic - it does not block the pores) and helps to prevent spots from forming.
