An everyday skincare routine is immensely important for keeping the skin looking healthy and youthful. All the effort we put into cleansing our skin and keeping it hydrated is an investment in the future. Good skincare helps to delay the ageing process and also helps prevent unwanted pigmentation, blackheads and breakouts. In this article we take a closer look at what an everyday skincare routine should look like.
The morning skincare routine begins with cleansing
Every day our skin is exposed to factors that leave it in worse condition. The morning skincare routine should focus on thoroughly cleansing the skin of the sebum and bacteria produced overnight. Cleansing is always the first step in every skincare ritual. In the morning our two-phase facial cleanser is lovely for cleansing the skin. In the morning it is best to use floral waters as a toner, chosen according to your skin type. In our e-shop you will find several kinds of organic floral and herbal waters with Ecocert certification, awarded by the French certification body that marks natural and organic cosmetics.
The benefits of floral and herbal waters
Facial hydrolats (floral and herbal waters) and their benefits: • they tighten pores • they return the skin's natural pH • they give the skin a radiant look • they stimulate blood circulation • they soothe and moisturise • and above all they increase the effectiveness of the next step of care Of course you can also use a toner with active ingredients, or the P-biotic facial toner. The care that follows immediately after cleansing – toning – is an important part of every daily beauty routine.
Next comes hydration

Then turn your attention to hydration. A light daytime serum or a good moisturiser tailored to your skin type will improve hydration and visually rejuvenate the skin of the face and décolleté. It is worth emphasising here that most facial skin concerns are linked to insufficient hydration. It does not matter whether the skin is dry or oily. If you have oily or blemish-prone skin, it is good to use a moisturiser with mattifying properties to reduce the appearance of sebum and make make-up last longer. Among our mattifying facial creams we count the Kleopatra facial cream and the Magic nature facial cream. People with dry, sensitive skin can use a hydrating serum before applying a cream. Our peptide serum contains multiple HA molecules – medium molecular, low molecular, oligo molecular, high molecular and ultra-high molecular particles of sodium hyaluronate – to create a stereoscopic sponge-like structure that protects the skin in every respect.
To finish the morning skincare routine, do not forget SPF
We use a facial moisturiser according to our own preferences. The next step in morning care is applying a product with an SPF filter – right after cleansing and hydration, but before applying make-up. This helps protect your skin from harmful UV rays.
The evening skincare routine also begins with cleansing

In the evening you can usually give more time to caring for your skin. The first, essential stage of your evening skincare routine is thorough cleansing of the skin, removing the impurities that settle on it along with the sebum and bacteria gathered during the day. To effectively remove everything that has built up on the skin all day, two-phase cleansing is again worth using. This can be done in two ways: either with a classic cleansing oil, a multifunctional cleansing balm or a 2in1 cleanser and mask. Oil cleansers are the only ones that can properly remove make-up, SPF and all impurities. And then follow with a cleanser (gel, foam and so on). Toning the skin is very important too, either with a floral water or with special toners. In the evening it is also lovely to use a liquid exfoliant - glycolic 10% serum.
The next step is eye cream
In the evening use richer formulations such as the rosehip eye cream, or the dovi dopo monokle eye area balm. The next step is moisturisers with ingredients that support your skin barrier.
Then come oils and oil serums
Oils help create a barrier that seals in all your products and keeps your skin optimally hydrated overnight. And finally comes targeted care. If you have any active breakouts, now is the time to apply something locally to the spot, for example the Ďubáčik Roll on.
Tips and tricks for your skincare routine

For the night, anti-wrinkle serums, moisturising facial oils and creams for blemish-prone skin are ideal, as are products containing ingredients that make the skin sensitive to the sun, such as Retinol and acids. You can also use a cream made especially for the night with a rich consistency, such as our night creams Vráskožrút, Štramanda and Štefka, which work like a night mask. We apply products to the skin from the lightest to the richest, so water-based first, then gel, emulsion, oil, and finally solid balms based on butters and waxes. The product with the highest oil content should go last. The oil product should go last so that it creates a protective layer and locks everything in. A skincare routine never ends with a water-based product. An oil serum or a facial balm is always applied to damp skin.
The key to a lovely routine is regularity and quality products
Even though good facial care and regular hydration significantly delay the appearance of wrinkles, around the age of 25 it is time to bring the first anti-wrinkle cosmetics into your everyday skincare routine, something your skin will appreciate. As time goes on, you can reach for ever more potent preparations with richer compositions and firming properties. A skincare routine brings results only when it is carried out regularly, in the right steps and with well-chosen cosmetics.
