The keratin is made from wheat.
Benefits
What it does for your hair
It improves the hair's structure inside and out.
It replenishes the hair's keratin and fills cracks in the hair fibre.
It regenerates, hydrates and softens the hair.
It increases the hair's suppleness and resilience and helps prevent damage.
It smooths the hair and tames frizz and reduces static.
It acts as a powerful conditioner: hair is more manageable, shinier and easier to comb.
It protects the hair from high temperatures and ingredients used for colouring and styling.
It reduces the time needed for shaping and daily styling, giving hair a better, healthier-looking appearance.
Plant keratin is not a humectant, but a hydration regulator: hair needs moisture, but not too much.
Key ingredient: plant keratin made from hydrolysed wheat proteins
Hydrolysed wheat proteins (plant keratin)
a microprotein ingredient obtained from wheat through an enzymatic process
made up of amino acids similar to those found in hair: lysine, arginine and proline
an entirely plant-derived solution that replaces animal-derived keratin in cosmetics
has remarkable compatibility with keratin in the human body
a recognised hair-strengthening and protective ingredient, with effects immediately after use
Keratin in hair
the basic fibrous protein that builds skin, nails and hair
makes up 88 % of the hair's structure and is responsible for its strength, softness, shine and overall appearance
the form found in humans is alpha-keratin
also determines whether your hair is straight or naturally curly
a lack of it leads to a decline in hair condition
Microproteins that penetrate
penetrate deep into the hair, repairing, strengthening and protecting it from within
larger molecules also attach to the hair's surface
penetration is affected more by concentration and the number of applications than by previous hair damage
properties are based on efficacy testing

Questions
What you ask most often
How should I use the keratin?
Add 2–3 drops to your usual portion of shampoo or conditioner. With shampoo, wash and rinse as usual; with conditioner, leave it on.
How long should I leave it on?
The longer you leave it on, the better the effect. The optimal time in conditioner is 30 minutes; then rinse your hair.
Is it animal-derived keratin?
No. It is an entirely plant-derived solution made from hydrolysed wheat proteins that replaces animal-derived keratin in cosmetics.
Will it help bleached hair too?
Yes. Keratin penetration into hair is affected less by previous damage (bleaching or perms) than by concentration and the number of applications. Regular use therefore helps.
What can I add it to?
Shampoos, conditioners and hair masks. This is how keratin is added to hair-care cosmetics.
Will it overload my hair with moisture?
No. Overhydrated hair is more prone to damage, so plant keratin is not a humectant but a hydration regulator. It is also useful for hair that retains water less well with age and becomes drier and thinner.
